800 volt
Porsche pure electric sports car Porsche Taycan will premiere in September
Porsche's first purely electric sports car, Taycan, will be
staged on September 4th (3rd) after three stages of actual measurement. The
global synchronized premiere will be broadcast live at 3pm in Germany, which is
9pm in Taipei time. The Porsche Taycan is 400 volts compared to the average
electric car. The Taycan is the first production model with an 800-volt
structure. It has a speed of over 250 km/h and an acceleration of 0–100 km/h in
3.5 seconds. Lithium-ion batteries also have a total capacity of about 90 kWh.
Together with the excellent temperature control system, 26 times of 0~200km/h
acceleration is achieved, showing excellent stability.

Strong stability, 26 times in a row 0–200 km/h
Porsche Taycan announced the model name in June 2018. In
November, the Taiwan market and the global launch of the pre-purchase project,
has accumulated more than 700 pre-orders. At the same time, road and track measurements
were carried out around the world, such as the continuous acceleration test at
Lahr Airport in southern Baden, Germany, to test the durability and stability
of the engineering structure. At a temperature of 28 °C Celsius, Taycan
successfully completed 26 consecutive 0–200 km/h round-trip acceleration
challenges on a taxiway with a total length of 2.3 km, with the fastest and the slowest data being only 0.8 seconds apart.
To truly interpret the brand's classic performance
control, Taycan Pure Electric Powertrain is designed to achieve full power
output for multiple consecutive accelerations. The front and rear axles are equipped with a powerful permanent magnet synchronous motor (PSM). The
motor has a high-efficiency permanent magnet rotor that generates a natural
magnetic field. The rotor can move synchronously with the rotating magnetic
field generated by the stator. The pulse inverter in the stator determines the
frequency of the stator field rotation, which affects the rotor speed. The
design, function and excellent temperature control of the permanent magnet
synchronous motor make the classic high performance of the Porsche sports car.

achieve full power output when it accelerates multiple times in succession.
Efficient output, first with 800-volt structure
There is a special "hairpin winding" in the Taycan
electric motor, in which the spiral coil of the stator consists of a
rectangular rather than a circular wire. The wires are wound in a curved shape,
and before being inserted into the laminated core of the stator, the shape is
named as a hairpin, and the open end of the wire is finally assembled by laser
welding. The hairpin technology allows the wires to be tightly wrapped around
the stator, increasing the number of copper wires in a limited volume, and
achieving a high enough kinetic energy output and torque target in the same
volume. For high-performance sports cars such as Taycan, hairpin windings are
more efficient at motor cooling. Compared to the 400 volts used in electric
vehicles, Taycan is the first production model with an 800-volt structure. This
not only allows Taycan to have high-efficiency kinetic output but also reduces
charging time while reducing the weight of high-voltage wires and achieving
Taycan's high speed. Performance and efficient electrical loads.
Combined with Taycan's drivetrain (PSM and 800 volt
construction technology), its temperature management system ensures high
reproducibility of the vehicle's power supply; the cooling system can be
customized to meet different needs and allows Taycan to achieve multiple
uninterrupted accelerations. The temperature control system also provides
efficient heating in the winter depending on individual needs.
