Porsche
Taycan, the pure electric sports car with the Porsche 911, will be premiered in
September.
Porsche Taycan will debut in the premiere, and on September
4th, 2019 (3), a global live online broadcast will be held at 9pm in Taipei
time. Compared to the 400 volts used in electric vehicles, the Porsche Taycan
is the first production model with an 800-volt structure, with a speed of over
250 km/h and an acceleration of 0–100 km/h in 3.5 seconds. The Taycan interior
combines the classic elements of the Porsche 911 with the new generation of
user experience, presenting an unparalleled elegance and clean cabin
atmosphere.

acceleration of 0–100 km/h in 3.5 seconds.
Strong stability, 26 times in a row 0–200 km/h
Porsche Taycan announced the model name in June 2018. In
November, the Taiwan market and the global launch of the pre-purchase project,
has accumulated more than 700 pre-orders. At the same time, road and track measurements
were carried out around the world, such as the continuous acceleration test at
Lahr Airport in southern Baden, Germany, to test the durability and stability
of the engineering structure. At a temperature of 28 °C Celsius, Taycan
successfully completed 26 consecutive 0–200 km/h round-trip acceleration
challenges on a taxiway with a total length of 2.3 km, with the fastest and
the slowest data being only 0.8 seconds apart.
To truly interpret the brand's classic performance
control, Taycan Pure Electric Powertrain is designed to achieve full power
output for multiple consecutive accelerations. The front and rear axles are equipped with a powerful permanent magnet synchronous motor (PSM). The
motor has a high-efficiency permanent magnet rotor that generates a natural
magnetic field. The rotor can move synchronously with the rotating magnetic
field generated by the stator. The pulse inverter in the stator determines the
frequency of the stator field rotation, which affects the rotor speed. The
design, function and excellent temperature control of the permanent magnet
synchronous motor make the classic high performance of the Porsche sports car.
▲The permanent magnet synchronous motor enables the Taycan to achieve
full power output when it accelerates multiple times in succession.
Efficient output, first with 800-volt structure
There is a special "hairpin winding" in the Taycan
electric motor, in which the spiral coil of the stator consists of a
rectangular rather than a circular wire. The wires are wound in a curved shape,
and before being inserted into the laminated core of the stator, the shape is
named as a hairpin, and the open end of the wire is finally assembled by laser
welding. The hairpin technology allows the wires to be tightly wrapped around
the stator, increasing the number of copper wires in a limited volume, and
achieving a high enough kinetic energy output and torque target in the same
volume. For high-performance sports cars such as Taycan, hairpin windings are
more efficient at motor cooling. Compared to the 400 volts used in electric
vehicles, Taycan is the first production model with an 800-volt structure. This
not only allows Taycan to have high-efficiency kinetic output but also reduces
charging time while reducing the weight of high-voltage wires and achieving
Taycan's high speed. Performance and efficient electrical loads.
Combined with Taycan's drivetrain (PSM and 800 volt
construction technology), its temperature management system ensures high
reproducibility of the vehicle's power supply; the cooling system can be
customized to meet different needs and allows Taycan to achieve multiple
uninterrupted accelerations. The temperature control system also provides
efficient heating in the winter depending on individual needs.

The original 911 is integrated into the modern avant-garde
interior style.
Inspired by the original 911 in 1963, the Porsche Taycan
instrument configuration not only displays modern avant-garde style and
incorporates classic brand elements, but also emphasizes driving orientation.
The cockpit structure is clear and clear, and the new generation of generations
is coming. The center console gives the driver intuitive operation with a
clean, minimal and futuristic design. The instrument panel of the independent
curved surface forms the center console to the high point, and the display is
centered on the driving and ensures the required information at a glance. The
innovative instrument consists of a 16.8-inch curved screen with a rounded look
that retains the classic Porsche elements. It saves the border design and
presents a slim, modern and high-quality look like a smartphone and a tablet.

provides excellent anti-reflective power.

Four central control instrument display modes
Traditional mode (power meter) Porsche classic round
instrument. The information on this display is clearly arranged for quick
reading. The power meter replaces the central tachometer.
Map mode replaces the central power meter with a map.
The full map mode deliberately omits the circular meter and
displays the navigation map completely on the meter.
The minimalist mode only displays basic driving information such
as speed, traffic signs, and navigation, with navigation using a minimalist
arrow to provide an indication.
There are small touch blocks on the edge of the meter for
controlling the lighting and chassis functions. The dashboard with a wider
steering wheel is derived from the first generation 911 with an index. The
steering wheel is available in two versions. In addition to the basic models of
the custom-made color palettes, Porsche offers the GT sports steering wheel as
an option. The GT sports steering wheel has a unique design with a framed
exposed nut and a Porsche classic circular mode switch to select different
driving modes. The upper and lower blocks of the center console extend in a
wing shape to the full vehicle width. The central 10.9 吋 infotainment display
combined with an optional passenger display creates a black glass panel that is
visually integrated into the interior. The operator interface has been
redesigned by Porsche Taycan to significantly reduce physical buttons and
knobs. Instead of intuitive touch operation and voice recognition, the “Hey
Porsche” command can be used to initiate the operation.
All of Taycan's vehicle settings, such as the Porsche Active
Suspension Adjustment System (PASM), can be easily set up via the central
control screen. Driving provides quick access to all applications, including
navigation, phone, media, comfort, and Porsche connectivity, through a clearly
structured and personalizable main menu. With optimized voice control, driving
can access menu content more quickly. For Porsche, this is also the first time
that the first-time co-pilot has its own touch screen that can easily change
settings without distracting the driver. Just like the design of the Porsche
sports car, the deliberately raised center console is highly enhanced to
contrast the low-sports car seat; its large 8.4-inch touch screen can adjust
the air conditioning settings, and at the same time as a handwriting
recognition area to quickly enter the address.
The interior details are extremely simplified, compared to
the Porsche 918. The Taycan's gear function replaces the traditional gearshift
lever with switchgear next to the touchpad. This not only makes the center
console more concise but also creates more storage space. The same logic is
also used in air conditioning vents, abandoning traditional mechanical blades
with digital and fully automatic control of "Virtual Airflow
Control". Open the "Air Conditioning" menu via the center
console touch screen, select the "concentration" function for fast,
directional cooling, or "scatter" to cool the compartment evenly and
gently. If the "Advanced Air Conditioning Control (Four Zones)"
the option is selected, the air conditioner can be adjusted through the 5.9"
touch screen in the rear seat.

Complete personalization options, innovative material
concepts
Taycan's interior colors and materials offer a full range of
customizable options. In addition to traditional leather and fabric materials,
Taycan offers a variety of materials developed using high-tech environmental
concepts. Perpetual "OLEA Leather" made from olive leaves, through
special The spray reproduces the natural texture of the leather. Also,
Porsche also offers the first "Race-Tex material" interior option in
Taycan for the first time, a high-quality microfiber material composed of
recycled polyester fibers. Its process reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 80%
over conventional materials. Besides, the carpet uses recycled Econyl®
fiber, which includes even fishing nets.
Taycan offers a choice of interior and exterior
configurations in a variety of traditional and contemporary styles. The
interior emphasizes the detailed texture while achieving the highest quality
standards of Porsche in terms of material properties and craftsmanship. Taycan
offers exclusive interior fittings: Black-Lime Beige, Blackberry, Atacama Beige, and Meranti Brown. The interior is also available with a contrasting color kit,
including Black Matt, Dark Silver or Neodyme (an elegant contrasting color like
champagne). Doors and center consoles are available in wood trim, matte carbon
fiber plaque, embossed aluminum or woven. In addition to a lot of innovation,
Taycan also has the same details as all Porsche: the start button on the left
side of the steering wheel.
