BERLUTI 2019 Winter Collection uses
the new Patina ancient method to show the luxurious attitude of adventure
spirit
A unique perspective on luxury is the inspiration for the
BERLUTI 2019 Winter Collection. In the face of the lack of historical clothing
archives as a reference, the creative director Kris Van Assche created the
first collection for the brand with a “free sense” as the driving force. There
are no pre-set rule standards to build contemporary wardrobes, rooted in the
freedom to choose. The collection is displayed in the golden hall of the Paris
Opera. The classic elements and experimental art are on display at the same
time, showing a luxurious attitude full of adventure spirit, rude and simple
and symbiotic.

This collection is the quintessence of the BERLUTI brand:
the signature dyeing of the brand's classic leather footwear – Patina's ancient
dyeing reveals a new look in this collection. In the Ferrara leather workshop
in BERLUTI, the craftsmen dyed the shoes by hand in an ancient marble table,
and the colors were left on the stone platform. Kris Van Assche is deeply
attracted by this marble platform, and the streaks left on the stone bench are
reproduced in the series. The rich red, yellow, blue and green are presented in
high-saturation, and each piece is unique. The colorful marble was further
interpreted and displayed as a print on silk shirts and rare leather-stitched
nylon bags.

Patina's ancient dyeing concept has also been interpreted in
the garment industry, becoming the inspiration for the calfskin and enamel
suits, and expanding the core of the Berluti process to a wider range of
fields. The shape is clear, the shoulder line is clear, but it has not been
over-controlled. It is used as a footpad for the suit and the locomotive
off-road pants. With the concept of "seeing another material through one
material", the purple leather jacket has the effect of Patina's ancient
dyeing. The gray sheared wool coat is reminiscent of Russian lambskin. The
knit sweater made of thousands of colored leather lines is like traditional
wool fabric...

Alessandro and Andy, the brand's signature shoes, dyed in
ancient Patina and hand-crafted from whole leather, add structural toe in this
collection, and they are reminiscent of diamond cuts. Adding a new angular
element to the Alessandro highlights the sparkling preference. The shape is
transformed into a white casual shoe, which is crafted with the brand's
unchanging craftsmanship. The shoe-shaped pendant and the shoe keychain add a
finishing touch to the collection and pay tribute to the BERLUTI brand.
