Rolls Royce's Spiritual Indicators
Why does Rolls-Royce have a goddess statue on the front of the car?
Rolls-Royce, which is fast, silent, and has no
hidden energy. In addition to the double R Logo, the Spirit of Ecstasy, which always
stands at the front of the front hood, is also an important brand image.
Whether it is sterling silver exterior gold plating, polycarbonate frosted,
polished stainless steel, it conveys the spirit and ability of Rolls Royce, but
also the art of the fans. What inspired the creation of a small statue of
exquisite statues?
A statue is popular
In the 1910s, the statues were installed in the front of the
car, showing the owner's personal style. Some of the statues were
extraordinary, but they were not suitable as car logos. At that time,
Rolls-Royce's director Claude Johnson was appointed to develop a statue.
Sculptor Charles Robinson Sykes solves this problem. In 1911, Sykes completed
the statue of the goddess of celebration. Because of the dewaxing casting
process, each statue of the goddess in the early days was polished by Sikes and
his daughter.

Commemorating the unreachable love
Before designing the statue logo for Rolls-Royce, Charles
Sykes first helped Lord Montagu, the editor of The Car magazine, with the
intimate private secretary Eleanor Velasco Thornton. Thinking, for the car head
cast a decorative statue "The Whisper whisper", a girl gently closes
his lips with his fingers, as if guarding this secret that can not be said.
Later, the goddess of Rolls-Royce, Charles Sykes still takes the same
woman-oriented and makes the image of hands stretched back like a wing.
