2019 Top 49 Best Restaurant Released
The World's 50 Best Restaurants, sponsored by S. Pellegrino
for many years, is an annual award for chefs from all over the world to come
together to select the 50 best in the world. Good restaurant.
This selection has been criticized for many years because it
is considered a collection of expensive, European-style restaurants run by
white males. This year, the selection rules were finally revised to make
restaurant selection more diverse and gender equality in the voting mechanism.
However, the results of the 2019 list have not changed much.
For example, only five of the top 50 restaurants are headed by female chefs,
and this part of the results is the same as last year. However, there are still
some highlights worth mentioning, such as this Mexico's performance is
particularly strong; Enrique Olvera opened in Mexico City's Pujol restaurant
ranked first in North American restaurants, ranked 12th. Also, he
co-operated with Daniela Soto-Innes, the "Best Chef" of this year.
The Cosme restaurant in New York is the highest-ranked restaurant in the United
States, ranking 23rd.
