Beyond the 488 GT3 Ferrari's most labor-intensive car
Officially
launched in 2015, the P80/C is the longest-running project in all Ferrari
Ferrari One-Off projects to date, commissioned by a loyal Ferrari Ferrari
customer, by Flavio Manzoni Flavio. Inspired by Manzoni's Ferrari Styling
Centre Ferrari Design Center and the Lema brand's engineering and aerodynamics
team, the Ferrari Ferrari classic 330 P3/P4 and the 1966 Dino 206 S are
designed to create a Fearing to break through the old-fashioned and distinctive
Sports Prototype, the sleek lines create a more muscular body flank, a modern
car.

car, plus the classic details of the 330 P3/P4, 1966 Dino 206 S
The P80/C
model is completely made of carbon fiber. Only the functional parts are not
painted. Others are dyed with bright and bright red Rosso Vero. The car is also
named by the customer, demonstrating the customer's love for the Ferrari Sports
Prototype.
The P80/C
uses a chassis derived from the 488 GT3 to demonstrate its dynamic performance
and long-wheelbase advantages (the new wheelbase is 50 mm larger than the 488
GTB). This innovative design gives the designer an unlimited creative space.
The Ferrari 488's classic interior design makes the cockpit feel even more
centered, while the chassis design of the Ferrari 488 GT3 sports car gives the
designer a forward-looking effect, giving the car a more sleek design. These
have become one of the basic guidelines for P80/C design.
The P80/C
the body has a wedge-shaped profile on the side, and the front and rear wing lines
are muscular, with a wide C-pillar design that extends to the side air intake,
making it easy to recognize the unique charm of the P80/C. This configuration
creates a visual effect that blends the cockpit with the body structure, while
the classic curved windshield from the Ferrari Sports Prototype is the
finishing touch to the overall design. The unique body lines gradually extend
upwards and merge with the roof to further enhance the barrier to the sun.
These design highlights not only come from the Ferrari 330 P3/P4 but also pay
tribute to the Ferrari Dino and the 250 LM classic sports car.
▲The front and rear of the car cancel the design of
traditional lamps and change the central warning light for the rear of the car.
The side air
intakes feature a wide pocket shape that is visually integrated into the side
windows, and the sporty lines extend down to the rear side of the car. The
visually striking side and rear design combine the contours of the front side
of the wedge to create a visually distinct separation between the rear and the
rest of the body. Looking down the entire body, you can see that the front half
of the car is the widest, and then quickly narrowed to create a tight rear door
waistline, while the widening design at the rear of the car gives the P80/C a
smoother line design. In contrast to the C-pillar design that is separate from
the cockpit, this signature design is even more unique. The C-pillar covers the
air intake of the intercooler and makes the drop from the roof to the hood
surface more visible. Also, the roof contour generally extends to the hood, and
this distinctive prancing sports car uses a more extreme design, creating a
very spacious rear cockpit through a vertical rear screen design...

In terms of aerodynamics, the P80/C is based on 488 GT3 but
is not limited to international regulations. Therefore, the sports car has a
special custom front wing, while the rear deflector curvature and spoiler are
the same as the 488 GT3, and the exterior shape is unique to the P80/C. The
unique design of the entire car has improved the overall efficiency by about
5% and the potential of the engine has been fully utilized.
The P80/C takes full advantage of the design under the 488
GT3 body, allowing the lower pressure on the upper part of the body to be
evenly distributed on the two axles. The rear of the body seamlessly engages
the rear edge of the roof, creating a stronger downforce on the rear and wing
with airflow that flows backward. Inspired by the T-type wings used in 2017
F1 car, this aerodynamic design is designed to reduce the flow of air at the
rear of the body, visually creating a very short rear windshield effect and
maximizing laminar flow separation. The production of bubbles.
The front of the car has a double-body geometry. Among them,
the extended car nose shape effectively demonstrates the wing shape of the front,
which enhances the overall visual effect. The large vents are located directly
behind the airfoil structure, and the air outlet on the front cover highlights
the strong and powerful design of the front. The P80/C is built for the track
and is said to be able to discard key parts of some road vehicles and make the
overall vehicle design more free to innovate. On the car lights, the original
classic design was canceled. On the P80/C, the headlights were designed to be
slim and simple, and slit grooves were formed on both sides of the front of the
car to reminiscent of the 330 P3/P4 intake grille. However, the difference
between the P80/C and the 330 P3/P4 is that the air inlet is not integrated
into the overall design of the elliptical grille, but is independent, making it
more like two pockets placed on the front of the sports car. design.
The same styling elements are also used at the rear. The
rear spoiler is very wide enough to meet its efficient aerodynamic
requirements, and it seems that the two iconic taillights of the air outlet are
integrated into it, more perfectly echoing the design of the front. The P80/C
refers to many details of the 330 P3/P4 model. The rear bumper also adopts a
double-body shape to make the drive unit clear at a glance. There is no extra
structure inside the engine compartment. There is only one grille inside the
rear bumper. The heat of the engine room can be quickly discharged. The
underside of the rear guard bar is occupied by a large lower spoiler. To be
able to derive the turbulent flow of the chassis, the exaggerated lower spoiler
appears to be completely separated from the vehicle as a whole. The P80/C also
refers to the 330 P3/P4 with a concave rear windshield and aluminum louvers on
the hood, making the appearance more unique and highly recognizable.
The interior is the same as the prototype and the anti-roll
cage is also perfectly integrated. The side of the instrument panel was
completely redesigned based on the 488 GT3. The seat trim and the door were
also redesigned. The door was replaced with a carbon-fiber casing and the door
handle switch was replaced with a drawstring without any burden of weight.
The promotional film of the Ferrari P80/C was produced by
Ferrari, a Hong Kong-Australian Ferrari agent, and revealed that the owner's
the name was "TK", which is now the owner of Blackbird Concessionaires,
Ferrari, Hong Kong.
▲The interior is completely built in the form
of a racing car. The racing chair is equipped with a carbon fiber racing
steering wheel and replaced with a multi-function racing dashboard.
